I played on my 2080 Super with DLSS enabled and had 60-80 fps.

Depends what is your resolution and FPS target.

A Geforce RTX 4090
No but seriously it depends on what resolution you play at, what settings you want, what FPS you aim for, what CPU you have, and of course your budget.
The game itself isn’t too demanding unless you run RT, but it’s an absolute vram hog. Make sure you get something with at least 12 gigs of vram. 8 gigs won’t cut it

Well, my gtx 1650 survived it

High settings
1080p 3060ti or 7600xt is fine..
1440p – 6700xt at 16gb / 6800xt, if you want ray tracing, 4070ti.. but it’s really not worth it right now
4k – 7900xt/ xtx or 4080 super / if you’re a baller then 4090
REZENNN
Clicking your profile to see if you had previously mentionned what kind of PC and monitor you have did **NOT** turn out the way i anticipated.
Anyway, sensible choice should land around 3(4)060 ti/3070, 6700-6800-7700-7800(XT), things like that, if you’re looking for a good visual experience but still willing to lower a couple settings (mostly ray tracing related ones)
You should land around the 60-80 fps mark in 1440p, ultra no fsr/dlss & no ray tracing, depending on which one you go for and granted the rest of your system isnt a limiting factor.

I mean it ran pretty well (60fps max settings with DLSS on 1080p) on my rtx 4060 but you definitely want something a bit stronger.
Trym_WS
The one you have.

Which resolution do you play at? Are you looking for Ray Tracing?

Whatever you choose make sure you use the “Ascendio III” mod over on Vortex Mods.
It makes a huge difference to the games overall performance.

3080ti for 4k ultra without Raytracing on 60fps
Hope that gives you a reference point
Lewy_d00psko
how about 1440p performance on rx6600xt? asking for myself
Zealousideal_Mix5043
Depends on your monitor, if your monitor is 1080P 60hz then a rx5800, if it’s a 4K 244hz monitor, buy an A100

My 2080 runs it maxed out aslong as you don’t use raytracing haha

Unfortunately, every recommendation has a caveat
The PC version has shader compilation and traversal stutter regardless of your hardware
So it will never feel like a smooth experience due to constant persistent stuttering

I’ve noticed that Hogwarts Legacy was the first game that was limited by my 16GB RAM. So whatever GPU you’re using, make sure you’ve got 32GB RAM if possible.
dynozombie
What cpu do you have? No point in recommending something like 7800xt if you have a 3770k

My 1660 TI ran it flawlessly at release. Haven’t booted it back up since upgrading to my 3060 TI

The most expensive one you can afford without losing much sleep over it or selling a kidney.

I recommend you just come over to my house, sit on my lap, and you can play my computer. I’ll even buy this game and we can play your games for a little while 😉
I got a big ass too

I am using Vega 64 at 3440×1440. It could be better but it is still enjoyable.

gt 710 can run at 1440p 80fps on medium

Well for hog i would say nvidia since it has some dedicated nvidia settings.

It runs well at 1440p on my 6700XT.
But you should go up to either 6800XT, or 7700XT.
Depends on your budget.

It is a very CPU-limited game, or rather poorly optimised game. So if your CPU isn’t the greatest, and you turn on raytracing on ultra settings, you won’t see good FPS even with a 4090. [Like this](https://www.techspot.com/articles-info/2802/bench/Hogwarts-p.webp). But in overall, with a decent CPU and more sensible in-game settings, you could expect graphics performance [kinda like this](https://www.techspot.com/articles-info/2793/bench/Hogwarts_1440p-p.webp). (FPS numbers from Hardware Unboxed reviews)
rtx 4080/4080 super or rtx 4070 ti super otherwise it wont run that well
7900XT for Max Settings and best price to performance GPU.
