As much as I like Cyberpunk, I doubt cyberpsychosis has any place in reality. Cyberpunk kinda relies on the existence of a soul, or that consciousness isn’t just the brain experiencing the sum of its parts and feeling special. I have a lot of fun with the concept, but it feels philosophically dated today. Keep in mind, people once said an AI would never be able to paint a picture that hasn’t been painted, and that ended up being one of the first things it got good at.
