I would say mount some on the wall and put a few small ones under the monitor

Small one behind the clock and a corner shelf that can hold one that is slightly bigger. Then in the middle but high another shelf with a plant hanging downwards.
Thats how i would do it.

Plants would look nice but it seems like so many are a negative for kids and pets; hard to know what to pick. I guess the fake type are safe LOL
