Had this keyboard for years, need a new one but I like to research these things nowadays. Painted them in Black 3.0, then white 2.0 and some glow in the dark paint.

Not a long term solution (that paint on fingers probably isnt great) but itll do for a while as I use the Razer Tartarus most of the time anyway.

Did you replace the other keys? or did they not wear out as fast? Just seems like you do an immense amount of typing with no mistakes or needing the enter/shift keys, or caps, too chill i guess 🙂

Gotta learn to touch type. Mavis Beacon would be disappointed.

I used those glow in the dark stickers years ago when my keyboard started to fade. If it works, it works.

Nothing more permanent than a temporary solution that works.

to answer the question you asked on another comment. don’t go with name brands like razer, logitech, corsair or stuff like that unless you really wanna stay in a eco system or are brand loyal. i would highly recommend looking at brands like keychron or akko ( or one of the other “custom keyboard”-brands if you want to get a board. keychron offers great board from both low budget entry level (k and v series) to midt budget entry level (q series)

these brands offer higher qulity and a waaay better product then the name brands do since they dont add fluf features that a often not used or are a gimic.

if you have cash burning a hole in your pocket then maybe look at something like luminkey or mode keyboards

    That looks unintentionally artistic.

Damn I just replaced my perfectly working TKL razer keys with blanks on purpose😂

  9. Yeah, the “10”, “11” and “12” key.

Why are “-” and “=” on the number bar marked as 11 and 12?

Take the keys off and clear coat it, would be a funny permanent

Is it common for there to be a slash key next to z?

If you live in the US should just go to goodwill and get a temperary keyboard for a few dollars.

This gives me an idea for a punk-rock style build, the lettering drawn on like this, a bunch of neon colors clashing together, could be cool

My 81 year-old grandma has a yellow keyboard that looks very similar LOL

Honestly I’d be fine using blank keycaps at this point, every key is burned into my cerebral cortex and executed through muscle memory.

This looks like something The Riddler would use for some reason

I actually like having a faded keyboard as a touch typist. It’s pretty dope

You don’t know where the buttons are without seeing them?
