So to add to what other people said in a different way. I had these flexible ties that had this thick rubber coating. Whatever they are covered in the ants loved them. They were two foot long and the ants ate all of the ridges. Might be some additive in certain rubber/plastics that the ants like.

There are ants that love electronics for some reason. You need to follow the trail as far as you can to find the source and start spraying. Trust me been there and did that, they took over 1/3 of my entire house. Took roughly 3-4 months of daily spraying and traps plus two trips from an exterminator to finally eradicate them.

I’ve lived in a house with a garden front and back for all my life, with a door leading to one of the gardens 3m away from my pc and in 20 years all I’ve seen is a single beetle of sorts get in my pc. how tf do people get ant colonies inside their computers?
