had a few people tell me 75c-80c is gonna “damage” my cpu with this overclock. i’d just like to know if these temps are okay for being under full load, normal gameplay is only 65c-70c on cpu based games
cpu:
i7 2600k
4.6ghz overclock
1.440 voltage
cooler:
deep cool ak400 zero dark plus

Did you run OCCT? It tell you and are you using stock or 3rd party cooler?

Until it doesn’t reach 100° then temp is fine for me

no, that temp wont damage your cpu neither will cut the life span from your cpu, you are more likely to buy a new a cpu because this one is obsolte before it dies.

You could run 80°C 24/7, and other components would die before your cpu.
What’s important is that you don’t run it at max Temp° (Tj. max) all the time because that could actually damage your cpu over time.
Most CPUs degrade slowly and require more voltage over time (years) if they run very hot.

You really don’t have to worry if Temps stay below 85°C.
It’s a good number to stay below.

It won’t damage the CPU, cpus are designed to run at 100 constantly, but the temps are pretty high

CPU is under 100% load. So temps are totally fine imo

Dont worry… My I5-750 clocked from 2.6ghz to 3.9ghz… max 87°C running on that clock last 8 years with same AIO 120mm…
