Okane is a city where yokai, humans, and cyborgs coexist. In Okane, a life is cheap, bounties are business as usual for the assassins. In the city where all creatures have to interact, we build a city that is heavily influenced by Japanese architecture and culture. In Okane, you will see yokai wearing kimono, humans with cybernetic parts, human cults against cybernetics, and cyborg warriors on a bounty hunting mission.
For this volume, we explore an abandoned city just on the outskirts of Okane. It used to be the main port city, where everything was lively and people lived next to a beautiful ocean. But under Okane’s new ruler, this city was destroyed, and left only ruins. Kaiko District has become the home of those who have been abandoned by Okane. And this city has become home of these characters.

I love concept art/sketchbooks. Are you doing a release in print of the behind the scenes stuff, or just the comic? Honestly, I’d love if a page of sketches/concept/ideas were included at the end of each comic as a “see how we got here” kind of thing.
