I wish intel had done the same thing as with devil’s canyon. The i7 4770k became the i7 4790k, the i5 4670k became the i5 4690k, etc. It was just a refresh with a minor bump in clock speeds, but the naming scheme reflected that. Now, intel’s trying to trick uninformed people into thinking that 14th gen is a new generation when it’s just a refresh. Could’ve been handled so much better by just adjusting their naming scheme that they’ll be getting rid of anyways.

Other than the i7 everything kinda bad
I7 had an average of 20% boost in workload tasks
But 14th gen the absolute same price or lower

I’m glad I didn’t “upgrade”

2 german politics, the one on the right is our current minister of defense, and the one on the left is only know for alwawys telling in his preelection speeches that his father worked in the mines. Best minister of defense in the last 15 years

They’re on the same socket since 2021, real leaps and bounds are what can be done with software.
It won’t be until the next real generation comes out that you’ll see worthwhile jumps, and even then you’ll want to wait for gen 2 or gen 3 of it to buy (17700k).
There was no reason to upgrade from 12700 to 13xxx or 14xxx, but if you were smart you couldve gone from 12500 to q 14700 or 14900 and then not touched it for a decade.
