“Alicia Framis is preparing to marry a hologram named AILex, which was generated with the help of artificial intelligence. This marks a significant, albeit weird, milestone in the exploration of human-AI relationships, which till now have been restricted to AI girlfriends.”
Our society is getting nearer and nearer to a Gibson novel than i thought.
“Idoru” comes to mind, or the movie “Her” by Spike Jonze.
When will this be so common as current relationships? Or do you think, this will always be seen as weird or unnatural?

It’s a complete sham that the media and tech industry has sold this technology as “AI”. It’s far from sapient, and it isn’t really even “intelligent”. It learns via volume of data (and theft) and is unable to do anything other than spit out answers to prompts (even in this case). Basially, this is les Blade Runner and more “we’ve made a really complex version of Microsoft Clippy”. I feel bad for this woman, but I guess it’s her life and if she’s happy who am I to judge
