    Few highlights from the annoucement:

    > Today, Remedy Entertainment Plc (“Remedy”) announces that Alan Wake 2 has sold 1 million units by the end of December 2023, and 1.3 million units as of the beginning of February 2024. Alan Wake 2 is Remedy’s fastest selling game so far.
    >
    > By comparison, Alan Wake 2 sold over 50% more copies and over three times more digital copies in its first two months than Control did in its first four months.

    ….

    > Remedy’s CEO Tero Virtala commented: “We are happy with the start of Alan Wake 2’s sales. The price point has also remained at a high level, and the game has already recouped a significant part of the development and marketing expenses. We will continue to develop the game to serve existing fans and attract new players and expect the game to continue selling well.”

They sold like 3 Copies on PC, thanks to not being on Steam.

I am happy they are happy with the results. I just want more Remedy, that’s it. I have been a fan of theirs since childhood, they are one of only a handful of studios that make games that are absolutely unique to them and nobody else.

Overrated game, it definitely doesn’t deserve the reviews it got.
But the sales don’t sound anything great, so i guess that’s an answer.

Don’t think I’m playing it because the first game was pretty mediocre

  6. Waiting for steam release. Hopefully, do not die of old age before that.

They’d sell one more copyhere if it had a physical release.

Oh yea, I forgot to finish that… it was so dark and so boring.

I wanted to love Alan Wake 2 but 20 hours in I was begging for it to be over. Loved the graphics and the vibe but didn’t like the gameplay or the story. I’m over 200 hours into my first playthrough of Baldur’s Gate 3 now and I never want it to end. Big difference.

I’d love to play it, but being digital only, I refuse to support that.

  11. I’m loving the game, just started it in earnest a couple of weeks ago. Very glad we’re getting DLC!

Imagine how much more money they can get with a Steam or physical copy release. Then gamepass?

  13. AloversGaming

Alan Wake 2 deserves 5 times its sales figures. Masterpiece.

  14. Prototype3120

Can’t wait for future installments. Almost skipped out on it because it wasn’t on steam, but ended up getting it on console and absolutely loved it. I do wonder how being epic only affected sales

  15. hellraiser29

Is this going to get a physical release like the first?

  16. AscendedViking7

Would be much higher if it wasn’t an Epic Scams exclusive.

  17. Laithani

No marketing, no steam release. When I saw this thing on the Game awards, I was like “this game released?”

  18. sam7r61n

Great, now they can afford to do a physical complete edition after the DLC is finished.

I like the game and the graphics is among the greatest of all time on my PC at max settings.

I wish it had just chill with all that cheap random jump scares with the fullscreen pictures of people just screaming. The game did not need that to scare you.

I had to download a mod from Nexus to not show all that shitty jumpscare pictures. 🤣

nolan and remedy working together can create some great magic

Would’ve bought the game if it was on Steam.
