This started life as a rough ThinkPad P71 with these specs: Xeon 1505 32GB RAM 4K 17.3″ IPS Nvidia P3000
Sound was not working at all and I attempted quite a few things such as replacing the Realtek chip on the motherboard, but eventually went with embedding an external (Creative) sound card inside the laptop and making my own secondary switchable 3.5mm jack to go from internal speakers to headphones/aux out.
I also installed a 2 port Expresscard because I am stealing power from the nearest USB port for the sound card.
A lot of time was spent on the aesthetic customization which is a mix of cyberpunk, hex-camo, Kojima, Neill Blomkamp, military and some cyber-occult. The graphics and paintwork took me weeks, [months??]
