I totally forgot this key even existed until I looked at my keyboard.

In a game? Never. In a terminal? A few days ago.

I use it in every game. It’s my discord mute key since there is no use for it.

Win key + pause/break = system properties.

I don’t think I’ve ever used it in a game. I didn’t think it was typically meant for use in games tbh. I used it a few minutes ago in HyperTerminal though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The Pause|Break key on my keyboard has a special place in my heart, because it’s the only keycap that *never* needs cleaning.

In a game, almost never. But all the time in my job. We use a dos based system called MEDS. Sometimes when you mess up you get a little red angry man at the bottom and can’t do anything until he goes away, you gotta use pause break to get him to leave.

The only game I ever remember using it in was in this “time warp” “””game””” that was a small section of an educational program meant to each you about computers where you had to press pause before the rapidly increasing age counter kills you from old age… it was near impossible for me to win because my 75Mhz Pentium 1 at the time was a far faster CPU than the program was ever intended to run on.
I did use it to force-edit many QBasic programs back in the day though, but that was more the Break function, not pause.
URA_CJ
Used it last November to actually pause a game!
Bet you can’t guess the game based on the description of the pause screen, it’s a render of the main character (female) holding a gun and sitting on back side of a French Mime with a yellow background.
Natty_Twenty
I make frequent use of it in Space Engineers. I run an ungodly amount of mods for it, game is usually using about 23GB of RAM when it’s running lol. As such it can have the occasional issue, such as the game hard freezing if I use the main menu (esc) to pause for more than a few minutes. But for whatever reason the in-game pause function that uses this key does not cause any issues.
I can’t recall ever using it beyond this.

DCS uses pause break to pause the sim. You can still look around but everything’s stoppedÂ
