They’re all great games with amazing stories. But please, for everything that is holy, do not play any of the games after BO III.
MW3 (the original) gets a pass though. Story was nuts!
EDIT: Start at WaW & go in chronological order for each developer.
If you don’t have already, I suggest that you buy the other 2 games from Modern Warfare trilogy. Those are games that Activision can’t screw up the single player campaign with an update.
Black Ops II is my favourite of the whole series. I have it in multiple formats. The zombies mode is awesome.

Black Ops is my favorite out of the bunch, but I played the hell out of each of them.
Got everyone of those Call-Of-Duty awesome games, still play them every now and then.

Man. CoD:WaW. I had both PC and Xbox copies, lol. I’d play multiplayer on PC and zombies on xbox with high school mates. Bloody good times.

While you can relive the awesome memories (multiplayer) i’ve had growing up with these, do enjoy the amazing campaigns, which in the past few years have been lacklusters.
