I hate this metric when it is applied to single player games. There just aren’t that many games with real “infinitely replayable” design. Of course the player base is going to go way down after launch.

Just a reminder to all to never pre purchase games, they are not going to run out of copies, just wait for reviews.

After the first run through, I found it really boring.
arrgobon32
It’s a single player game, of course people are gonna move on

Lost all interest in Starfield after about 10 hours in, I was hoping to be playing it still but it just didn’t grab me like I thought it would.

Which game has more players now, Starfield or Skyrim?
NotDoingSthILike
Starfield lost me in it’s first 5 hrs on Xbox
Loot3rd
Played Stardfield for about 50hrs, got bored and haven’t played since. I’m sure I’ll replay eventually.

They overcharged for an extremely underwhelming game. It had a lot of cool stuff in it and a lot of potential. But the emtpy planets that pretty much had nothing but the same few buildings. Rinse and repeat missons. Pointless spaceships where u can just fast travel everywhere, which made getting in your ship even more Pointless, ridiculous amount of loading screens even when played on a SSD. They could have done so much better on a game they supposedly spent 14 years making.

I remember when this game first came out and how if your criticized it for being the lame dud that it is, there were a bunch of bad faith actors on this sub that would shout you down.
Where are they now?

That is indeed how the player count on virtually all single player games with no new content since release work.

I spent a grand total of 6 hours on this game. Then I uninstalled it and thanked Christ I didn’t waste money on any Starfield controllers, headsets, etc.

Makes me worried for Elder Scrolls 6 if this was their “passion project”

This happens with every game. These posts are annoying

Great! That means it’s not a grindy gotcha mobile game constantly trying to trap players in. It’s a single player game that players can finish, move on, and maybe just check back once in a while.

Because they play hell divers 2 😉

I completed Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3, New Vegas and Fallout 4, great games. Starfield kept me entertained for 4hours. It was, and I think it still is, a blant mess and it’s sucha shame. I was hoping for great new IP from Bethesda.

BG3 got me
fenikz13
i mean what else is there to do, fast travel to another empty moon and kill some pirates?
TwistingEarth
The whole point of the game is to restart the game, meaning you lose everything that you built over possible hundreds of hours.
I find the point of the game rather pointless. I would much rather have had the point that you find a major galactic civilization like the federation.

Are Sony fans still hung up on Starfield? Get over it already 🙄.
poyopoyo77
I enjoyed the game but it doesnt have much in ways of replayability for me. Plus the constant loading screens from having to go through multiple selections just to land on one specific planet on one specific point gets boring. After a while everything feels empty.

I stopped playing when Bethesda hinted that there was going to be a significant update coming in March.
It’s rumored to be a land vehicle of some sort, so i stopped my playthrough until then. Whatever it is going to be, i’d rather wait for it. I like the game a lot, but im managing my expectations.

Outer Worlds is so much better and more fun

Waiting for mods, personally

I put like 15 hours into it and was very underwhelmed. I stopped playing and glad I got it for free in game pass lol.
AlchemyFire
Even the modders gave up on the game

I have up pretty quickly. The space travel ruined the flow for me. I was expecting something more like star citizen/no man’s sky where you actually fly between planets.

Not sure if it’s a failure. More like a meh.
Bethesda needs to flesh out their games more.
People move on from games.
