y’all need to chill with the bottlenecks

That is a massive bottleneck. You need to pair that with a bigger room as the 2 people require a very powerful room to play 4k 144 hz.

  2. Guys I spent 300$ on a GPU and I’m only getting 95% of its potential, should I spend 800$ more on a CPU, RAM and moterboard upgrade so that I can get 5% more?

  3. Praminat0r

There are, in fact, multiple bottlenecks in this room

It’s funny because it’s peeps who for some reason thinks it makes them better at FPS games to lower graphics that much when they are getting beaten by a kid with a steady hand playing with all settings on Ultra on his potato computer.

  5. Delicious-Sample-364

Yes there a 2 bottlenecks in there

    Ok guys i have a4790k stock with 16gb ddr3 and a rx 5700xt

Its a dedicated simracing rig for 1200p60 high. Generally it runs good but i dread the day lemans ultimate releases so what should i upgrade to? Was thinking a cheapo am4 mobo with a 5600x and new ram. Any other suggestions? Dont mind buyin new or used. I care about it bein cheap and doin the job, not futureprofing it forever. Dont care bout the brands as well

  7. Neither_Sort_2479

yep, there are two on the table right now

There are two bottles in the room, on the table. It must be one of them.

Is there any actual disadvantage to a bottleneck other than it won’t be as good as the moment. Like no damage is caused so if I happened to get a good graphics card that will be bottlenecked by my inevitably shit CPU I can just upgrade my CPU at some point and it’s all ok.

  10. Icy_Boss6053

    This is pretty accurate haha.
Ive seen some pretty insane conversations about getting bottlenecked.

When it comes to gpu and cpu one is always bottlenecking the other but it simply doesnt matter. It only becomes a problem once you dont get the fps you want.

i5-8600k and RTX 4080 here. I play at 4k and the card will be the bottleneck before the CPU 95% of the time, even at 120FPS.

I would have upvoted this multiple times if I could but Reddit is bottlenecked so I could only do one…

Real bottleneck is the organic interlayer between chair and monitor

Pss… psss…. wanna hear a bottleneck? Intel 3770 + RTX 3090. How did it happen? Let’s just say the GPU kept getting upgraded (OEMs mostly) in the name of letting the “nieces/nephews” play the latest. I don’t even game on it. They can barely tell the difference between 1080p and 4k.

Indeed, everyone who’s building a pc in my country talks about bottleneck, will xxx bottleneck yyy?

  16. It depends on the bottleneck, i thought the Ryzen 5 5500 was too weak to handle a 4070/7800XT because it’s essentially the same performance as a Ryzen 5 3600, but then i saw some 1440p benchmarks and basically it’s around 5% slower than the 5600x most of the time

and also most of the time the GPU was still the biggest bottleneck at 1440p ultra, you’ll see the biggest difference (>15%) in games where you get over 120FPS on any configuration.

With that said i would definitely advise against buying a 4070/7800XT with 2nd gen Ryzen or 9th gen intel and lower, unless you’re planning to upgrade later, the bottleneck is extreme enough that you’ll essentially get 4060Ti performance even tho you paid for a 4070.

What happened to the old “the best motherboard available” followedby “best processor you can afford that fits the socket, “GPU you want or can afford” then “best PSU for the power range +100 you can afford” and “the shittiest case that wont make your pc explode”, and “slap some matching DDR RAM into it???

What happened to upgrading your pc? Who tf gives a shit about bottlenecks, I use a pc, not a bloody console, its obvious that I phase out older components for newer ones

  18. Giant_leaps

You don’t understand I need to overclock my gpu but when I overclock it, it overheats so there is a thermal bottleneck!

  19. TheN1njTurtl3

There is almost always some sort of a bottleneck you can never get it 100% perfect, but I think people try to chase that

  20. Odisher7

Every pc has a bottleneck. Bigger or smaller, but obviously something has to be the worst component of the pc

  21. rand0m-nerd

I think the biggest bottleneck is your monitor in many cases. For example, I used to play on a 1080p 75Hz monitor with a 6800XT
