I can’t remember the last time I used LAN, both my work pc and gaming pc are Wi-Fi. Haven’t had connectivity issues outside of ISP failures.
It’s not like I’m light on the network either, I transfer terabytes of data in any given week.
I don’t see why you need a laptop to have a lan port, are you really dropping thousands of pounds onto a system to tether yourself to the nearest router or power point?

I mean… sure it’s a pretty cool mechanism but it’s stupidly fragile and overengineered. many other thin laptops use the classic expandable LAN port
