Deservedly so. Former DICE devs did something original and good here, but I wont play it, too toxic multiplayer anyway
Not like the bar is high anymore. Shooters regressed big time to sissy gameplay in recent years.

Seems a neat concept that gets bogged in the details. I wanted to enjoy the finals, but couldn’t. A better way would be to include environment to fight rather than each other. Id get in matches where everyone was just playing Call of Duty rather than the finals.

How is Nexon even still alive?
I played Maplestory 2 times last year. I used to be on it daily. It’s little more than a grind fest with a story that’s pointless to get into because they constantly retcon half the stuff you just learned. Get to level 250 & somehow beta Black Mage? It’s not endgame anymore, spend 15 hours a day to get to 275 in a year or so. More coin shop events too. Their customer service either doe snot exist or stands by their broken automated moderator system. They frequently false ban players, never apologize & the community is so addicted they let it happen. The system requirements also keep going up despite the game looking exactly the same as it did almost 20 years ago. None of their other games are worth the time, if they even keep that game on their roster for more than a year.
Oh and Korea makes up the majority of the company’s income, while the combined US & EU player base barely matters towards their profits. They can barely get worldwide players to touch their stuff now.
I’m just amazed how they managed to do a nearly fully destructible environment. Sadly I just don’t play arena shooters.
Game will be dead before the end of the year.

Now I’m incredibly uncertain about the long term future of the game. I don’t trust Nexon not to go pay to win…. Ugh
I played the game solidly for six weeks and I have no desire to ever play it again. It doesn’t have the staying power for me. I wish it all the best.
Almost every shooter has been getting way more attention these days because call of duty is such a shitshow. The problem is now all the former cod players are going to other fps games to avoid playing cod and then play it just like it’s cod. Rainbow six siege used to be a great game and now nobody plays objective or with a team and just runs around trying to get kills. Same with hell let loose with it being added to game pass recently.
Played for about a week but then my interest fell off.
The game is solid mechanics wise, but the gameplay loop got boring real quick.
I was hoping to pick it back up in a year or two when it has more content and refinement, but didn’t know Nexon was involved…
I’m happy for them! I thought the game got dull very fast though. I hope more games have destructible environments however, so I wish the game succeeds so others can get inspired by it
It’s a fucking great game and has such amazing sandbox gameplay.
Quick cash is a blast and I love how many gimmicks you can go for. Literally the first fps I know of where you can hodge podge so many random things together.
Add more guns with changeable scopes and a few more game modes and you can say that.
as it is now, people will get tired of it…..they are saying this entirely too soon, it’s great that it became hot overnight on Steam, but man when a few games release this year that Heat will inevitably fizzle out, lets just see how it lasts with all of these bangers coming out.
What happened? When The Finals launched I saw everyone n their mother playing and saying how good it is. Now there’s people saying they dont have faith in the game cuz Nexon is attached, the game is stale, the game is just another shooter.
Steamcharts shows its lost over 80% of players since launch. A lot of people are still playing though. Never clicked with me.
Color me surprised nexon was attached to this. Nothing in the game really hints to that

Fun game but repetitive and does not have much staying power. Do play it occasionally with friends though it is fun in small sessions
Sorry, not gonna touch this game with AI voice acting. Good for them, it will crash and burn pretty quickly over the next year. If popular games like apex can’t handle the heat. This won’t last for half apex’s time

with how strong the aim assist is its barely a shooter
it’s an alright game. i play shooters and tried it a few times with and without friends but honestly i just didn’t find it fun. the destruction was neat but it had nearly no lasting appeal to me. i also don’t like the graphics, they feel too real and lacking in any style, its just quality with no style to it.
I don’t get the hype gave it like 20 hours nothing really grabbed my attention and made me wanna sink 1000 hours into it.
I liked it, but it gets boring quick
