For context I have an Asrock Challenger RX 7600. Ocd at 2983mhz/stock memory. The power limit is maxed. Undervolted at 1180mv.

During games that are really intense at max usage the power consumption will drop and the frames will mimc the drop. However I noticed after all tabbing out of a game and checking HWinfo64 my ” GPU Power Maximum ” peaked as high as 268.5w. This GPU only has one 8pin connection. Is this reading correct? Or is it pointless? Games tested were Left 4 Dead 2 (tons of graphics and model mods) @ 4k, Doom Eternal @ 2K Ultra nightmare with Nightmare texture, COD WW2 2k Max, and Borderlands 3 2k ultra. Borderlands 3 has the most stutter but it went away removing the -notexturestreamimg command. Aren’t single 8 pins only capable of 225w max? Slot+pcie cable?

TLDR: My RX 7600 is rated for 165w. Max power sensor reading during gameplay was 268w.
