That’s why I wait a year unless it’s on Game Pass or something.

At this rate I like indie developers and small teams that make a conscious effort even if the product isn’t ready.

A some of it is understandable to me, I do small games, and I often need 2 patches to actually find all the bugs, but with a project 100x bigger, you might need hundreds of patches, and you don’t find bugs without testing

It’s not the developers of the game but the company or business decisions behind the game that destroy it.

If a game is worth playing, modders will save it

This shows how little you know about the usual game development process, stop attacking developers.

    Publishers !

Bad games aren’t the fault of developers. If they can get a big or complex game to work, they ARE good. The bugs are less an indicator of skill than lack of time. The devs work on games for years, it’s their creation and they like them, they don’t have any reason to want to rush them, make them unoptimized or bugged. Publishers do, to get money as fast as they can.

Don’t blame the devs for the bad decisions and greed of their companies’ boss who can’t see making good games pays off better in the long run

(Edit for typos, my fingers are too big to type quick on phone)
