I’m relatively new to overclocking, so I’m seeking some guidance and advice.
Currently, I am running my CPU at 1.46Vcore, occasionally reaching higher levels under both full 100% loads and lighter workloads. During single-core tasks, I’ve observed occasional Vcore spikes up to 1.501V while boosting to 6.1GHz. My CPU’s primary throttle point doesn’t seem to be power or temperature, instead it’s often EDP/Current throttling.
I’ve encountered mixed opinions from various community members, prompting me to seek clarity. Upon reviewing the CPU’s datasheet directly from the Intel website, I found an officially supported specification for the “S/S Refresh Processor Line (150W) 8P+16E Core Extreme Config.” I’ve configured all of my limits in the BIOS according to this specification.
My reasoning is that since I’m within the officially stated maximum limits, I shouldn’t be causing degradation to the CPU. Degradation, in my understanding, should only occur if I surpass the power limit, thermal limit, or current limit of the chip.
Am I correct in my understanding? If not, I’d appreciate clarification and insights from the community.
P.S. Is my overclock good or garbage?

Overclock Config:
P 61×2 – 58×4 – 57×8
E 45×16
R 51
OTVB Temp 1 80c Offset -1

Limits set in BIOS:
Maximum Processor ICC = 400
Power Limit 1 = 320
Power Limit 2 = 320
AXV Ratio Offset = 6

Intel specified 320W extreme config:
Maximum Processor ICC = 400(Maximum)
Power Limit 1 = 320(Recommended)
Power Limit 2 = 320(Recommended)
Voltage Range for Processor Operating Mode = 1.72(Maximum) (community recommends below 1.5v)

Footnotes from the official datasheet regarding the ICC limit of 400:
4. Processor VccCORE VR to be designed to electrically support this current.
5. Processor VccCORE VR to be designed to thermally support this current indefinitely
17.S Processor Line K/KF/KS i9 SKUs and S Refresh Processor Line K/KF i9 SKUs – ICCMAX 400A is an optional Extreme Power Delivery (PD) spec which opportunistically allows better multi-core performance based on customer designs PD and if thermal headroom exists.
