Given what what’ve seen So Mi do with her magical Blackwall abilities. Couldn’t she technically kill anyone who has even the slightest bit of Cyberware installed?

Given the nature of these Blackwall Gateway hacks, they’re basically cheat codes that allow you to fry a person’s nervous system in the blink of an eye.

And whilst there are undoubtedly dangerous people in the Cyberpunk universe. I don’t think almost anybody stand’s a chance in an actual fight with So Mi.

What do you guys think?

Not at the end of my playthrough she ain’t. Thanks for office job Idris!

  2. MorenaLedovec

Imo the most powerful person in the world is either Bartmoss or Blackhand, and wouldnt just like turning off your whole cyberware access to the net just nullify her attempts to hack you?

  3. Drolex17

She got nearly shut down by a thingamabob the NUSA cooked up so there are contingencies against her.

  4. SolarZephyr87

Literal portal beyond the blackwall to all the malicious AIs that could lurk there too

  5. V is the most dangerous. And then, there are the blue and red eyed people/machines. Songbird is red eyes a lot of the time

  6. _dankystank_

Just had the bad ending for her… I think I’m boutta have a shower cry.

Yes, nusa president’s personal weapon of mass destruction

  8. No_Truce_

Does Alt Cunningham count as a person? She wrecks face at AHQ. I would give Alt the edge over So Mi.

  9. sludgezone

She thinks she is but she ain’t shit. Enjoy prison bitch.

  10. Induwara_Sankalpa

One of the worst bitches in night city that’s for sure

  11. RobinHoodPrinc

V says nah I’d win sorry. What’s Blackwall to ME CHEATING?!

  12. Mauisurfslayer

If you mean in the current canon I would say no. If you count Alt as a person I would say she is currently the most “powerful” in terms of her abilities and connection to the net.

If it’s across all of canon I think she is for sure a top 3-4, but when you have people like Bartmoss in the lore it’s hard to top their extreme feats especially when it comes to net running in general

  13. Nightthief9878

Yes she is. According to the lore in “No Coincidence” the blackwall was breached successfully only 7 times and every time the netrunners involved in it ended up dying. Songbird is still resisting that is a uniqueness and power on its own. She has also managed to weaponize the Blackwall and make it somehow work to her advantage. Most likely the only person that that can match that is Alt.

V I don’t even consider in this equation since we all saw what happened in the Cynosure bunker.

  14. glassjawrat

not sure but this artwork is fucking sick, where’s it from?

  15. Mikeleewrites

Yes, but she’s a glass cannon. She channeled AI from beyond the Blackwall and managed to insta-kill people just by being in their vicinity, making her the most powerful person in NC, if not the entire world.

But she also has the a lot of powerful people working against her from all angles, and has contingencies built in to restrict her. One toe too far out of line, and she’d be done for.

    edit: *cannon, not canon

  16. PatoDeCombate

    probably not.

first that she is a rapidly burning flame on a short fuse, she can only really survive at the blackwall state for a couple of months.
second that the blackwall abilities don’t come from her, they come from a rogue AI, so it’s not HER power.
she is one of the best netrunners in the world without the blackwall, but not the strongest person

  17. tsengmao

Definitely in the running for most dangerous person walking the earth

  18. TheShaoken

Nope. She’s deadly against mooks charging her in close combat to get into hacking range, not so much from a sniper sitting a kilometre away. Or launching a missile or artillery shells at her.

In a universe where organizations like Arasaka and Militech exist? Not even close.

Those two companies pump out people like So Mi on a dime, we’ve seen Arasaka do it with Lucy and Militech has Songbird.

They’ll just make more and better versions of them as the corporations get more advanced.

  20. TheWhiteRabbit74

I’m still gonna say Mr. Blue Eyes. When the AI war happens, and the way shit goes down in this game IT WILL, he’s going to be the first piece on the board to capture an enemy.

  21. femboi_pink

Not the strongest period but depending on the specific type of strongest she could be in the running for a few. Netrunner wise she pales next to the likes of Spider Murphy, Alt and Bartmoss. Those three could fry you before you knew you were hacked with skill and finesse while So Mi really just uses a Black Wall AI to kinda force it. Which don’t get me wrong that’s a hell of a feat to pull off. But if the setting is not good for he she is kinda toast against most skilled Solos if there is nothing around for her to hack and if the said solo can surprise her or if they are not as cyberized avoiding the hacking weakness. She is something to not fuck with to be sure but in a world of monsters like Smasher, Blackhand and Alt… well.

  23. V just says “Nah, i’d win” and opens his domain expansion: Maximum Dong Size, immediatelly frying her mind with images of the character creation slider

  24. scotchegg72

The fuck with the spoilers? Some of us only just started PL.

  25. AugustusClaximus

The choice on whether or not to kill the emotionally unstable WMD was pretty easy

  26. TheRealComicCrafter

If Alt didnt have to worry about netwatch she would solo songbird

  27. wordlife96

I wonder if her Blackwall Quickhack can breach Smasher’s supposedly super duper ICE because theoretically she can one-tap anyone in the game with implants.

  28. Bad_User2077

There is a parallel between Song and V.

Once, Song was very powerful. But she got worn down. So they added tech. Then they added more. And more. When her body couldn’t handle any more, she ran. She knew what they would do to her in the end, and it wasn’t going to be pretty. She trampled a lot of people to get free. She was the most powerful hacker with her blackwall tech, but she ran out of steam.

V was the best solo in all of NC. Corps and gangs both wanted to end V. They only got close once. After that, V became a legend. Song tricked V to get the last few miles. But V turned her in for his own cure. The cure Song lied about to get V to help.

In the end, that cure cost V his legendary status. Now, both V and Song are a shadow of what they once were.

    I think it goes

    1) Alt by far (if she counts)

    2) Saburo

    3) Mr Blue Eyes (maybe, hard to tell what’s going on here)

    4) So Mi

    -big gap that in power-

    5) V + Johnny (I sort of imagine the reason why V is so incredibly talented at violence and not dying is the dual consciousness and the relic nanites)

    6) Morgan Blackhand (if he’s alive)

    7) Adam Smasher

  30. The thing is she does have a sort of “cooldown” accessible the blackwall even to send a message is a huge task for her. Weaponsing it basically wipes her out everytime she uses it. And arguably a proficient enough netrunner just needs to hold her off. She’s busted but it comes at such a huge cost that sometimes a bunch of dudes with guns would be just as good.

  31. cable787

she’s dangerous in the sense that she’s a damaged hand grenade

  32. Joshua_Youngblood

No, that title belongs to V. V is, by far and away, the most dangerous individual in the entirety of the cyberpunk universe. That’s kind of the point.

  33. She’s only dangerous to everybody around her.
