I just ordered a skytech shadow 4 and it arrived with no processor, graphics card, SSD, or RAM. This is the first computer I bought and it was over 1000 just for it to show up with all the high dollar items completely gone. The glass cover for the case is missing a threaded screw and the other side of it was bent and where the screw goes was messed up. I thought it was weird that the cooler for the CPU was not connected because I thought that the PC was supposed to come fully built. I lifted it up and there was no CPU! I don’t know much about computers but I know what a CPU looks like and that it was not there. I also noticed that the screws that hold the CPU in were missing except for one. I looked further for it and couldn’t find it in the box or anything. While I was looking I thought that it might’ve been stolen which prompted me to look in the case again where I noticed that there was no graphics card, SSD, or RAM. The pictures are everything that was in the box except for the cloth bag it came in. I am pissed and I can’t contact customer support yet because it’s not business hours in California yet and I live in the eastern time zone. I honestly have no idea what to do.

They have really good support so I wouldn’t worry too much about the exchange process but this is hilarious. Probably shipped that by mistake.
Looks like the delivery warehouse or delivery person robbed it.
I hate thieves so much. The company will help you out. I can’t see them not doing so. This sadly isn’t the first time something like this has happened. I don’t know what your rights are like in the states, but if they don’t help you out, charge the money back, and tell them they can pick up their case lol.
Was the PC in a discrete box? If it wasn’t that’s where Skytech fucked up.
Someone robbed you man. I’d get with whoever the carrier for the package was and get with their support.
Was this an Amazon Warehouse Deals PC?
You got robbed.
A series of of unfortunate events
Looks like you got it on Amazon in the comments, process a return as not as described. Or talk to an agent if you really want, they will process a new one to be sent and old one to go back usually. As long as you haven’t done weird stuff on the account most of the time they are super cool about it.
Did you check to see if it was plugged in?
Clearly someone decided that they needed those items more than you.
Haven’t seen anyone say it yet, it from now on you should record yourself unboxing any high value items so there is no doubt about what came in the box.
AND THAT’S WHY YOU SHOULD BUILD YOURSELF
just kidding
good luck OP, you’ll most likely be compensated, you’ll just have to wait even more…
Never a shortage of criminals who want something for nothing. To work hard for an honest days pay for an honest days wage without fucking over somebody else for your own gain ….is becoming more rare these days 😑
I was super nervous there would be a brick in my 4080S box when it showed up lol
Warehouse people do be stealing. There was a post on a PC sub some time ago about multiple people in the same area not receiving 30 series gpus, all just lost at the warehouse. Yeah. Lost.
How smart of you (or your neighbor)! Now with this post published, you can righteously claim your purchase refund to no conscient doubts so as to benefit yourself or your neighbor. And in god’s kingdom, benefacting your neighbor is doing as much good to yourself.
“**thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself**” from the Book of Leviticus 19:18
What are you expecting US to tell YOU?
You contact sky tech ASAP. Which means…as soon as they open.
What else are you hoping we’d say? “Here’s a number you can call and they’ll buy you a whole brand new on! Sorry for your troubles!”
You just got PUNKD!
Did you confirm that the listing was being shipped by Amazon? It’s possible that you bought one because it was a few dollars cheaper from someone else that was a scam listing to start with. Sorry if this has been brought up already, but I didn’t see it in the comments yet
Here is your order of operations since you’re getting a lot of different advice:
Reach out to the seller (Skytech) directly by phone/email AND through the Amazon platform. Make sure everything is documented over email.
If you don’t get the help you need from Skytech, i.e. they are nonresponsie or evasive, then contact Amazon customer service. They are usually pretty good about remediating these kinds of issues. Ask for managers, call again, etc. Sometimes it takes persistence. Again, document everything over email when possible.
If and only if both Skytech and Amazon refuse to assist you, *then* you can contact your bank your bank/credit card company about a chargeback.
A chargeback is a last resort, don’t jump the gun and try and submit one without exhausting all your other options first.
I would guess it was in transit. It wouldnt take much for a delivery driver to pull over, open it up and get the parts out and make it look like it wasnt opened on the outside. They have all the tools to do so. Its unlikely that it happened in the warehouse because supposedly they have cameras everywhere. They knew what to go for but surprised they left the AIO. You should be good and will get reimbursed. Amazon is usually pretty good about that.
Yeah like the past a few days ago about some guys busy admitting he traded up every few years by ordering parts and returning the old ones.
A warehouse employee or driver just decided to open a box. You do understand those same employees get ‘tested’ every so often and they know it.
Probably very easy to prove you were robbed. Get the weight from delivery service. Don’t they weigh packages before delivery (Amazon does)? Then trace it back to suppliers weight. You’ll find your villain through that maybe.
Yep someone gutted it out and put it back in the box and shipped it. lol
I’m buying a grand of stuff next week from different places and different times.
Minimise potential loss.
There’s too many scumbags out there.
Damn, sorry that happened to you. I’m like a kid waiting for christmas morning when it comes to receiving new computer parts – so I can’t imagine the disappointment when you opened that box. Hopefully they resolve it soon and expedite shipping of your new computer!
I eated it
This was a purchase and return.. Amazon did not check to see if it was stripped down. Or the person that did look at it did not do their job. It was sold new or was it an open is Amazon warehouse deal?
As others have stated, contact manufacturer and the courier service. I hope you ordered with a credit card. Read through their policies but also be ready to charge back and have the credit card company deal with it if needed
