The 3060ti was never a 4k card to begin with that was the first mistake. It’s made for 1080p and medium 1440p
And max settings are stupid btw. Not playing on ultra doesn’t make a game look bad

The problem was the monitor. A 3060ti is at best a 1080p card, capable of running some lower end games at 1440p.
Awe this is what my husband would do too.
I remember when the 4060 was coming out I wanted to go because I wanted to get my husband a chance for a 4080 and it was a perfect time.
While waiting they asked what we wanted he picked a 80 and a 60 ( they were already out of 70s) I was surprised and we both got out with our own cards
