I pitched a VR adaptation for cyberpunk 2077 directly to CDPR not even expecting a response, this made my day even if they had no plans for the adaptation

Recently saw a post of why there is no 3rd person view, the movements are let’s say disturbing. So having movement and perspective fit with how your eyes and head move in VR seem incredibly hard, on top of all that think of all the content they had to change or cancel JUST to make this game what it is.

…we don’t have any news…that we could share at this time… — standard corpo talk! 😂 Pretty sure feature requests of all sorts get waived away at this stage…

I really hope they will just give us actual modding tools like they do for the Witcher 3. Imagine the potential.

I have played the VR mod for Cyberpunk, just a few weeks ago in fact. Let me tell you – It is fucking COOL. This game really should get official VR support, I shit you not that it is one of the coolest fucking things. Getting to walk around in Night City in VR space is genuinely amazing. They just did such a good damn job on this setting so getting to feel like you’re actually walking around in it brings it to an entirely new LEAGUE and a whole new experience for you.

I spent 4 hours just walking around Watson alone, at the beginning of the game.

Literally JUST Watson. I haven’t done the heist or anything, I still have an entire city to go see and I spent half a day just in one district. The only reason I hopped off was cause the headset was starting to hurt my head a bit.

Playing the game in VR also wildly changed how I approached combat. I handled it much more methodically and carefully. It felt a lot more immersive and far more intense this way.

If you have a pretty damn good, strong gaming PC and the VR headset to support it, try playing the game in VR. It’ll be kind of a pain in the ass to find the right settings to get it to look and run right, but ***IT IS ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT.***

CDPR really should consider doing something involving VR for 2077. Whether that’s officially making the whole game playable in VR or in the very, *very* least offer like some sort of… “tour night city” mode where you just can explore it as an unarmed civilian.

VR for CD2077, the entire game is already in first person.
