Someone doesn’t know about “Thermis” (Fermi), but totally true about AMD xD

Back when AMD was ATI, I burned through a couple cards on morrowind / oblivion 😂

  7. Yeah i remember my r9 280x (windforce) like 80° was a minimum temp under full load with an open case lol i remember hitting 90° on tomb raider

    What?

Look, even quite hot GPUs like the R9 290X were not THAT hot.

On the older AMD CPU side however… Oh boy, the FX9590 was a fucking MONSTER. Managed to overheat my PC in summer on multiple occasions, sometimes even to the point where I thought I could burn my fingers on the case.

I used to literally use my setup as a heater bro.

Man, my Nvidia cards 15-20 years ago were also just blasting fire out of them. And with those 40mm fans they were so quiet…
