I have a ryzen 5 5600 and an MSI b550 a pro and found this overclock(?) Option and I was curious how safe this is I have the stock cooler and an aggressive fan curve (I thought). Is this just some setting to always have on like xmp or does this actually overclock it?

  1. LargeMerican

    Turn it off.

Best results are bad by doing this yourself. And you don’t want this adding variables by changing who knows what.

PBO – enable if thermal headroom. Mobo.limits (these will be high though) or tune yourself.

CO – enable, negative, all core -5. Very conservative.

    UEFI only. Csm legacy disable

Hit F7 for the big boy BIOS (advanced)

Important: change PBO/co ONLY from the OC menu. Not from advanced. Settings don’t apply here

Edit: MSI b550 here too. Initially with a 5600x, swapped for a 5800x
