Nah man I ain’t using a 7900xtx for cyberpunk or productivity lol

I finally got my refund for my 7900XTX after 2x RMA with stutter and hotspot. I ordered my 4080 super now

With Frame gen you get 2x fps

    People here highly underestimate FG

  4. Comrade_Vladimov

Why are people shilling for Nvidia so such?

  5. Preeminator

I think you forgot to consider ray tracing, DLSS and Frame gen

  6. Better to buy a 4080 Super for 1100€ rather than 7900 XTX for 1000€

So I’m not trying to start anything, I genuinely just want to learn.

Isn’t the 7900XTX basically incapable of handling raytracing? How would it in any way compete with the 4080S when it can’t handle the biggest graphical leap we’ve had in a few years?

  8. I bought the 4080 purely because of frame gen, if AMD had it I would 100% get one of those instead

What is best cheap smart upgrade from ex-miner RX580 buyed for 100$ 3 years ago?

I would love for AMD to be so much better at my price bracket. The reality is that there is an AMD sub w/o an Nvidia counterpart: AMDhelp. DLSS is much better than FSR. They smoke them at RT. Cuda is used in everything. Nvidia has them so soundly beat on software and will continue to beat them because they are like the size of 10 AMDs. It’s not shilling, it’s that AMD struggles to serve well at the high end.

Am I the only one that saw the rubber penis waving in the crowd?

  12. Built my 1st pc 20 years ago and not much has changed. Nvidia has decent drivers. ATI/AMD – bad drivers

Wait, you people actually care about brands? I just get the best card I can afford.

I’ve always wanted to go team red. I still have warm fuzzy feelings from when their cpus were the bomb for gaming (around hl2 days?) and absolutely better than Intel. Unfortunately ATI/AMD have just never managed to bottle lightning a second time and ever actually win a generation with cards that were definitively better than nvidias gpus

At the same price point or $100 more? The 4080 S wins. But $200 or more less? The 7900XTX wins. I’ve used both Nvidia and AMD. Both have cons and pros. I bought my 7900XTX for $600 so that was my reason for purchasing.

The 4080 at $1200 was a joke. The 7900xtx was the better buy all day at $1000. Now hopefully AMD will drop it to $800ish. Anyone who doesn’t care about RT performance should buy the 7900XTX.

DLSS is better than FSR but not by a ton and wouldn’t make me spend more just for it. Frame generation is dogshit and shouldn’t be a factor at all.

I’m confused, but I’m too scared to ask.

Naaaw. Unfortunately (I own all amd and always want them to win) 4080s at 1k wrecks xtx. The xtx is about the same raster but it’s missing the other features for about the same price… dead issue for me.
