The XTX is AMD’s flagship. Why compare it to the 4080?
XTX should be included in 4090 benches and not 4080 or 4080S.

LTT is a full-blown Youtube enterprise now. I don’t watch their videos, and I don’t trust their opinions on tech. They’re purely profit-driven, and will give air time and positive marks to whoever pays best.

What came to mind when i saw no xtx was AMD EXTREME UPDATE and how maybe they are protecting their sponsor, seriously, i dont see any other reason why not to include xtx, they are literally competing against each other!

What infuriates me is that nobody seems to be benchmarking against the 3080ti. I have to imagine the results everytime.
But that might take DOZENS of dollars to have someone run that test again! Better to just say it’s crap and no one should buy it.

Iâm not even that big into the pc space but just looking at what they said before about âslowing down to focus on qualityâ it would seem that theyâve done anything but that. Actions speak louder than words LTT.

Accidents do happen. I always get annoyed too when I look at TPU charts that seem to magically omit the 6950xt.
3090ti is missing too
Thereâs a reason why Linus is looking to the labs team for automation. The writing team keeps making small errors like these. Heâll probably make the same generic statement heâs made in the past about when the labs website is online, graphs will be automatically generated so this wonât be a problem in the future. Until then, mistakes will be made and weâll continue to excuse them since itâs an entertainment channel.
It’s more likely that the top two GPUs got cut off from this chart as both 7900XTX and 4090 are faster than 4080S and both are missing.
It’s a little weird from LTT but not entirely off brand. It’s why a lot of the channels didn’t benchmark the 7800X3D against the 14900K.
As for the inclusion of the 3090 but not the 4090, Nvidia was making the claims of “better than a 3090” with this launch.
Love all the replies here acting like this was some pro-4080s move, when the entire theme of the vid was “this card, and in fact pretty much the entire lineup, are a cash grab not worth your time”. This wasn’t a 4080 super review, it was “here’s all the 4XXX super cards and how they stack up against the originals”. I swear people will take any excuse to be mad these days… Pretty sure we all already know that the 7900XTX beats the 4080.
Yeah don’t watch LTT for any real information to inform your purchase. Some of their crazy builds are entertaining but if you are looking for objective reviews and accurate statistics, refer to Gamers Nexus.
100% paid to not include 7900 XTX is the 4080 competitor after all.

Yeah I’ve noticed that the one card it would compete with wasn’t in their benchmarks. All those people work for LTT and they miss the most bizarre things. All well.
LTT is an entertainment site and I find some of their antics amusing but I wouldn’t base any buying decisions exclusively on what they have to say. There are far better channels that do much more stringent testing and benchmark reviews.
Later in the video there is a comparison. Raster is basically the same (1-3%) difference and RT is around 30% better on the 4080S
Avoid LTT and watch Hardware Unboxed and Gamers Nexus if you want benchmarks.
