So this is my first time tuning RAM and this is what I ended up with. The RAM is a cheap kit of Oloy Owl 2x8GB, 4000MHz, CL20, Hynix DJR.

I already know I’m sacrificing some speed due to the low voltages but because this PC will sometimes be used on battery power, my first objective was to lower SOC and any other voltages as low as possible while maintaining stability. This way the CPU can use the power savings for higher clock speeds while being PPT limited. I dropped the RAM speed to 3200MHz and incrementally lowered SOC until it was no longer stable. Then I increased it to achieve stability and started working the frequency up. I was able to go up 3600MHz without having to increase SOC voltage but anything higher requires more SOC, so I stopped there. After finding my minimum voltages and max frequency I moved onto tuning the timings. It doesn’t give any problems in OCCT and it passes TestMem5 1Usmus with no errors. Is there anything I messed up or could be improved on? Will increasing VDIMM help stabilize tighter timings or lower tRFC?

Note: I know I probably could have just bought 3600 CL14-16 for better performance to begin with, but this RAM was really cheap and I’ll be making another profile with higher FCLK/UCLK for when the system isn’t running on battery power.
