Yeah I called this months ago, this looked worse than Gotham Knights. I couldn’t even play that when it was offered in the PS plus lineup.

It baffles me that people still pre-order games.
The game is currently 4th on steams best sellers and among the best selling games currently on all platforms and it hasn’t even come out yet so it seems like this isn’t actually meaningful? I would’ve assumed people would’ve canceled their preorders by now but Suicide Squad has risen on Steam charts from 9th to 4th since the whole “auto complete” thing.
I don’t see why anyone would buy this to begin with. It’s GAAS shovelware with the only selling point being the DC paint job.
Surprisingly, the game autocompleting didn’t provide a sense of pride and accomplishment.

I think a lot of people on here forget that Reddit’s opinion barely counts for 1% of the overall consensus.
Just because everyone on r/gaming knows it’s going to be a pile of shite, doesn’t stop the other 99% of people not on Reddit buying the game
The last two games I preordered were Total War Rome II (2013) and Batman Arkham Knight (2015), both on PC and both were completely broken at launch. Never preorder

What’s the disaster?
There were 2 major bugs at launch, both were fixed within hours.
Some people are complaining the game is too short, but looters are short. The longevity comes from endgame (the game has a passable endgame at launch) with at the very least 1 year of updates planned.
People are seriously hating on this game cause it’s not an Arkham game. Is it the best game ever? No, but it’s still fun and certainly not a disaster.
The internet seemingly trashing this game to hell before it comes out makes me think it might actually be a hit mark my words.

I haven’t played the game, so I’m not going to comment on if the game is any good. A crazy concept, I know.
But the percentage is meaningless without the numbers of searches, which isn’t given in the article. Going from like 10 searches to 90 searches would be an 800% increase, but it’s still insignificant at the end of the day for a game that sold as well as this did.
The article says their source is an analytics firm that has just put out these figures. Their link takes you to a gambling website and that company’s social media makes 0 mention of suicide squad because its a casino, not an analytics firm.
What kind of trash tier journalism is this and how is this being taken seriously?

I just don’t understand why more looter shooters can’t be great like BL2 and Warframe. It’s not actually a bad genre. It’s just a genre that attracts a lot of incomplete guff.
That’s not a nothingburger. The amount would’ve been near zero prior to the game’s release, so it’s gonna spike. Google trend says “Baldur’s gate 3 refund” went from 0 to 93 after its launch. I could fudge any percentage between 0 and infinity if I wanted.
I hate to sound like this, but this game finally proved to me that point of..a studio could make a white background with a Superman logo in the middle bouncing around the screen and it would be steams highest rated, highest reviewed, most wish listed game of all time…until the next garbage IP comes out. I am usually very easily entertained and a lot of the stuff that bothers most players I could just care less about. If I’m having fun it’s good. I played this game, plus watched a ton of content on it….this has to be one of the most boring games ever made. It’s uninspired and just lacks anything I would consider fun in gaming. It’s just the same 5-6 enemy types, horrible boring guns a shitty loop that is literally go over here…kill 3 waves of enemies then go over here and do it again. The story is not great at all. The fact this is ranked so high on steam, just means gamers are willing to eat shit and clad for developers because DC is attached to it. I’m nervous for the future of gaming when a game that was clearly designed for the lowest common denominators in gaming to steal your money is ranked so high on steam regardless of mountains of evidence this game is a cash grab. Gamers really are some of the dumbest consumers in any industry.

Watched it on twitch for a bit, actually enjoyed the gun play and the verticality of the fighting.
The game runs pretty smooth, and character interactions are actually pretty great.
Also the first scene with Batman was… shocking.. to say the least lol. Give me a Batman movie with this Batman please!
This game really shines in 4 player co-op.
This is essentially a DCU Borderlands 1.
They have plans to release more characters over the next few months, as well.
I refunded. Steam gave me a refund even though i played 6 hours yesterday lol. Too buggy and short for a $106 game after tax.
Honestly if you bought the game you don’t even deserve a refund. The quality and state of the game has been known for almost a year now. If you somehow bought this game and didn’t expect the exact product you got you’re an idiot and deserve to have your money taken from you.
That’s it guys. The rocksteady we knew as a kid are dead.
