It took me a decade to understand that you don’t need the latest and greatest hardware to actually enjoy PC gaming. I’ve a 3070 which is great and enough for me to handle everything I throw at it, but I’m playing most of my games on the steamdeck ever since i bought it.

Pro tip: there is an open source epic games client called heroic launcher that is a million times better then the epic games launcher. It can even add the games to Steam automatically after installation if you want

I know it is for shits and giggles, but that last one, I read it almost in every EGS complain, yet I have never experienced it. I have a very old AMD 4 core cpu that was released 15 years ago, I use SATA SSD and have 16GB ddr3 ram that barely goes 1500MHz. Yet EGS opens up in seconds on my potato. So what exactly are you guys doing that makes EGS run so slow in your super computers?

Tbf, ps3 emulation struggles on my i5 10400 and were getting close to ps4 emulation.

Some emulatores are just plain not optimized, the worse one i played so far was a ps3 emulator.

It just gives me a peace of mind knowing that I have a capable machine to do a lot of things at the same time, and an SSD big enough to store games without really deleting stuff. Plus, big SSDs tend to be more reliable and durable as well.
