No open world, no mini-maps to look at, no gps. No superfluity, just fun at 300 mph, and when you’re in the right tempo, everything goes like clockwork!
I really miss that feeling of being in the zone.

Burnout Revenge came out for Xbox 360, still available and playable on newer xbox.
This was unusual as it had came out for original xbox the year before.

Burnout Paradise was the next game, that did get a remaster.

    Burnout Crash sucked.

It’s not the same, but have you ever played Beam.ng Drive?

I miss the Burnout series, when racing was fun, but pushing your rival into the wall was even better!

I remember when you get a vertical take down the trophy was like three staked cars before a forth went nose first into the pile.

One of my favorite games as a kid , sad that is an EA title

  8. One of my favorite ps2 game. It was peak arcade gaming, you could crash, fucking fly in slowmo into other cars and just nuclear bomb them lmao. It’s a prime example of all the fun and original ideas devs had back in the days. (SSX On Tour is a prime example too, love this game!)

You can just pop it on your disk drive if you have one on your comp and play it on an emulator.

Emulators, it’s totally legal to emulate a copy of a game you own

  11. Zaeblokian

Use emulator if you have PC. It has improved graphics.

I liked this game, but for speed, I always liked the Wipeout series. I’ve just been replaying WipeoutHD on the ps4, and goddamn! My eyes were streaming afterwards. Good times.

  13. GameOnmedia

We have too many fake morals nowadays to bring a game like that back xD

The new one (Paradise?) was such a disappointment. Takedown was my favorite game on PS2 and I was expecting something similar.

I actually bought this game used when I was a kid and was always so sad because the disk was scratched up and it wouldn’t load past the main menu

  16. Griffdude13

I had the Xbox 360 version, which was a blast.

I still think Burnout 3 is the definitive game of the series, but Revenge was a really good follow-up.

Obligatory PCSX2 with upscaling+widescreen hacks+texture packs = the remaster we never got.

  18. ediciusNJ

As much fun as Paradise City was, it just…wasn’t totally Burnout. I need my crash junctions. This is a franchise that really needs the proper next gen treatment.

YOU’VE ALREADY PROVED TO OWN THE GAME LEGITIMATELY.

THERE ARE WAYS FOR YOU TO EMULATE A PS2 THAT DOES NOT INVOLVE PIRACY.

  20. Renegade-117

This game was the shit. We played it on the original xbox when I was a kid, so much fun

  21. RonnieBarter

Longshot but if your PC has a dvd drive, PCSX2 the PS2 emulator can play it straight off the disc.

  22. blackrock55

Do you have a PC with a disk drive?! If you do.. get pcsx2 and play the living poop out of it again!

  23. Medium_Blacksmith488

Man, the whole burnout series were fun to play. Miss those games 😔

  24. postALEXpress

Didn’t they remaster one of these for PS4?
