Hello guys,

I need help choosing a good motherboard for overclocking my 7950x3d and potentially a 4090, my budget is around $300 USD. I need a pcie 5.0 m.2 and x16 and hopefully a usb4 for my use case(coding, 3d model, gaming and photography). I was eyeing the Asus b650E-f until [Actually Hardcore Overclocking](https://m.youtube.com/c/actuallyhardcoreoverclocking) pointed out it doesn’t have an external clock gen. The next thing I though was a good pick was the Asus x670E-E gaming wifi but builldzoid didn’t like the bifurcation specifications in a 10hr yapping session. Please help me understand what is a good motherboard with a reasonably good price to performance.

Thank you in advance.

  1. Gene is you can find it cheap, b650 Taichi/taichi lite. Don’t know about GB. MSI only has eclk on ACE and Godlike :/

I got a asrock x670e steel legend for 260, great mobo with all the gen 5 and m.2 slots but no clock gen sadly, I thought about getting a used aorus master tho tbh

  3. Gene stands alone at the top for overclocking
