
“Hi, I have x4 (8GB) tridentz neo F4-3600C16D-8GTZNC, totaling 32GB. My motherboard is an aorus X570 Pro WiFi, and I have a Ryzen 2700X. When I use the XMP, I cannot achieve the full 3600 MHz that these sticks should provide. However, when I manually configure it instead of using XMP, I can reach a maximum of 3333MHz to prevent system crashes. I tested 3466MHz (the maximum I could go) at 1.9V, but intensive programs like games crash. Aren’t these sticks supposed to be ready to use without any extra settings besides choosing the XMP profile in bios? Is there anything that I might be missing? Please advise. Thank you.”

try with 2 sticks probably an mc limitation. (memory controller) The sticks are probably fine to run at 3600 but your cpu/mobo are at the limits.
Definitely the IMC. A 2700X can only go up to 2933 on DDR4 per [AMD’s website](https://www.amd.com/en/support/cpu/amd-ryzen-processors/amd-ryzen-7-desktop-processors/amd-ryzen-7-2700x). I’m afraid to say that your CPU and motherboard probably can’t do 4 sticks of 3600 reliably. Have you tried running 3600 on 2 sticks to see if it’s stable?
I wasn’t able to get 4 sticks stable at XMP until I upgraded to 5000 series with my B450 gaming plus. I did however have to slightly increase SOC and DRAM voltage.
It’s the IMC. Running 4 sticks is harder with any CPU. It’s usually always better to run 2 sticks as the IMC doesnt have tonwork as hard and puts let strain. Unless you need the capacity or you get very annoyed with having empty slots i would just try 2 and see if that works.. And also with 2 sticks, you can overclock better as well.
Thank you all for your quick help and guidance. Yeah, I used to have 2 sticks totaling 16GB (I was able to use 3600 at that time just using the XMP profile). Then I got 2 extras (16GB more), and I realized that they were not using their full speed (only 2133MHz). Afterward, I started playing with their settings but was not able to use them as I originally could when I was using only 2 sticks. I am planning to upgrade to 58003XD in a few months, so if the CPU (as it appears to be the limiting factor) is the problem, I should be able to resolve it, I guess.
