Hey guys, just a heads-up that a few days ago, a large UK based PC retailer has filed for administration after being sued by the parent company.

Phone lines down, emails not being responded to, but sales still being processed by the website. If you have ordered, it might be worth trying to get a refund and heading elsewhere till the fog clears on if/how they move forward.

    Thanks for the heads up.

Reminder to always buy anything over £100 using a credit card for protection against something like this. Any items purchased using a CC is the credit card companies problem to get the money back and not yours.

  2. I’ve used these guys before, im still using the open box monitor I bought from them some years ago. It’s a shame since there are fewer places than ever to buy your tech from in the UK and it will hurt competition in pricing.

Huh… I’d not even heard of this one. The only Box I know is a bar/venue in Glasgow.

Not going to lie, at first I thought this was referring to Box.com, which would suck since it’s become my employer’s main storage/file share method.

Still sucks for those affected though.
