Should I stuff a 4090 in this

  1. I wouldn’t.

The space is too narrow, IMO. Those 4090s are very wide. And that 12VHPWR bend would be not good.

Plus you’d have to cut the hell out of the bottom and top for decent ventilation.

It says on the front…never obsolete….prove it!

Do it. You can get some inspiration from r/sleeperbattlestations

I upgrade your pc the the fastest on the market for only $99 every 2 years… imagine 😂

I’ll send you a copy of Zoombinis, I’m sure I can find the floppy at a local thrift store for $1.99.

I don’t think you can physically fit a 4090 in there, it’s too narrow.

The never obsolete was such false advertisement lol

Do it! I just wanna see it, honestly. The Emachines are quite a throwback. 😊

impractical at best .. probably impossible.

Even if you somehow manged to figure out fitting such a card into that case… without cutting most of the case away for fan holes / ventilation the 4090 would presumably cook itself to death / throttle like a MF?

pretty sure i had the same emachine back in the day. also cut up the case to put a cpu fan duct.

Absolutely! Bonus points if you put in an optical drive and floppy reader lol

If you’re asking us this question. I think you already know the answer.

I talked so many people out of buying those in my time at Office Depot

  14. Imperial_Bouncer

No! Of course not. It says “NEVER OBSOLETE” so there is no need to.

Update: I tried to run it and it’s missing an operating system. This tank still works in its original state!

damn, never seen one of those e machines in such original shape, usually drives get swapped and stickers get taken off of fall off on their own

My parents used to get swindled at futureshop with one of these every couple years growing up. Gaming with onboard graphics used to be rough lol.

GPUs in the rear view mirror may appear slower than they are!

This was the first computer I bought with my own money

    #NEVER OBSOLETE

    I wonder if that’s a guarantee.

Don’t think it will fit in the agp slot. Though I would like to see how horribly bottlenecked it will be paired with a modern celeron.
