If you need more wattage, increase the filter from 750w. Need more efficiency? Increase the 80 plus rating.

Rule of thumb is to buy any PSU in or above C-tier in cultists.network’s PSU tier list. Cheap doesn’t necessarily mean bad; the $51 Apevia Prestige, for example, is a decent 600W 80+ Gold model that’ll handle up to a 6700XT quite well.
You can, you just need to get a fire extinguisher along with it (like I did, which, honestly, you should get a fire extinguisher either way)

Yeah. I got a 750 G3 whatever the fuck. It is a fine power supply, though maybe a bit more expensive than people might normally want to spend. I’ve had it since 2017, so it is holding up really well.

I put a PowerSpec PSU in my kid’s desktop. Honestly, other than the BRIGHT RED PCIe connectors, it’s nicer than my SuperFlower unit…

I have been using the same cheapo 700W Chieftec unit since 2008. Been through HD 4870s in Crossfire and Vega 64 and everything in between. Overclocked everything always.
I’ve always bought used power supply’s off of eBay and never had an issue with them.

Had bad ones in the past but those ‘China shop’ PSU’s from the 2000’s and those PSU’s that came with cheap cases were a different species that what budget ones are now,l, they were the most neglected thing and along with the capacitor plague of that decade it made PC look like they had a very short lifespan.
Going into the 2010’s, everyone was recommending PSU’s at the very limit of what the setup would ask for and mid tier ones were decent for a high end, my 600W Silver Power from 2010 was the first decent PSU I’ve had.
