Retraction will not get as many upvotes I bet as people regret their late night outrage fest of dunking on Youtube and wanting them dragged in front of Greta for the extra power the CPUs used.

Sorry man but I have already swapped to Firefox. Doing this not only fixed my youtube issue (which I **know** was 100% chromes fault btw!!), it also saved my marriage, cured my mothers cancer and it seems like my father is finally returning with the milk tomorrow!.
Thank you Firefox.

As always, Reddit runs on misinformation and BS, as long as it generates clicks.

And this is why I ask to see the code that slows down.
It’s the 2nd time it happened this year, if you don’t have the code you can’t prove it.

Isn’t it funny that companies like youtube etc. have fucked people over so much by now that this kind of potential scumbaggery just sounds so on brand for them, that absolutely no one is giving these big tech conglomerates the benefit of a doubt anymore.

I started monitoring my CPU usage when hearing the news and, to nobody’s surprise, it wasn’t increased.
I just got ublock and disabled adblock plus and works fine now

http://www.pcgamer.com has a story up about this right now, half the article is talking about how this is a problem with Adblock, not anything Google is doing and yet the comments are still up in arms with people shitting on Google. Mind you I’m not defending Google in general, but at least in this case, it’s not their fault.
