I actually gave youtube premium a try. But then I realized their phone app is still a piece of trash I never want to use again and went back to ReVanced, while also premium gave me access to that wonderful pop up window in the browser that I hate with every fibre of my being and I did not manage to find out where to switch it off. So no thanks, till they make unnecessary trash changes, fuck over content creators meanwhile there is literal porn on the site with million+ views for 1-2 years that is quiet literally easily searchable and to top it off lots of their ads are scam baits, concealed NSFW advertisements or not even concealed so Thank you very much youtube but I will still use adblock.
But don’t worry, I will still watch your shorts cause I know that costs you money to keep up running without actual direct income to balance it.

If you are on a phone and you can‘t install an ad blocking YT client, try Firefox Focus and use YT‘s mobile website. FFF has a built-in ad blocker. The only „downside“ is that it erases all cache and cookie data when you close it so you‘ll have to log into your account each time.

google killed the android music player to shove youtube music down our throats and I will never ever use it because of that. They didn’t just stop updating it, they pushed an update to make it completely stop working.

Absolutely never going back to non premium YouTube, it’s the cost of like 2 pints a month to support the creators you like and you don’t have to watch a bunch of trash adverts or use some kind of janky 3rd party app. (Also unlocks picture in picture for us UK users, for some reason).
