Hi, I recently bought a used Asus TUF 3080 and was wondering if it’s worth the trouble to change the thermal pads and paste on it. There’s a 15 degrees difference between the GPU temp and the Hot Spot temp, and the Memory temp is at 92 degrees after 5 minutes of FurMark. This is stock, but I want to try to overclock it and I want to have a good baseline.
Here are all the max temps after 5 minutes of FurMark: [https://i.imgur.com/9tMxjeY.gif](https://i.imgur.com/9tMxjeY.gif)

I’d say its ok considering its furmark, 30 series is undervolted for more perf so you would get a bit lower temps with it. If it were me i’d just clean the dust and undervolt it.
15c delta for the hotspot is normal, the ram is a bit hot and better thermal pads could help have a look for posts of people trying it, you might find you won’t get any improvement without doing a copper mod. I bought a 1 piece copper shim 1.6mm for about 10 from AliExpress but I haven’t got round to using it yet.
monitor your GPU memory temperature during normal gaming, it will probably be 70 or lower, in which case you don’t have to do anything unless you’re planning on doing mining or other very memory heavy applications
80-90+ is fine, no need to worry
