This cybernetic upgrade makes no sense to me.

This is the ideal male body. You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like.

  2. ThreeLeggedMare

Witness protection, hiding from loan sharks, horrible accident, severe body dysmorphia, dealer face while their regular one is in the shop? Lotta options choombatta

  3. Diegolobox

that’s a military conversion, he’s a soldier from Arasaka who probably had some serious injuries or he himself decided to remove his humanity to be as concentrated in his work as possible because… you know… dystopian future

  4. Chaosrealm69

He’s got a job as crash test dummy and decided that it was easier to dress for the part when he was already a dummy.

  5. RhinoxMenace

i mean if you could easily swap it out with your other ‘real’ face then this upgrade would be dope

  6. GoMonkey66

Those shoes are definitely a crime against humanity

  7. Heavyoak

200% swag in the suit, -0% in the shoes, crash test dummy head.

  8. MonkeyLuddite

Corpo negotiator — no facial expressions for scanners to read during sessions; removable at end of loyalty contract.

  9. frosted210

Robot turning into a human. Reverse cyborg, he’s almost a real boy now.

  10. Comfortable_Farm_252

Could just be a temp faceplate till his custom one comes in from Japan.

Hope he didn’t though eating or smelling was a distraction. Can he still feel everything virtually in brain dance? Does poor people play bdance of someone eating fancy meal while munching on calorie stick? More I think more afraid I get.

Could be a tourist exploring Night City through a BD wreath and a drone, like those talent scouts in that one Phantom Liberty gig. Sort of an adventure tourism package; see the most dangerous city in America without actually being there.

Man can’t even wear a slipper right

  14. Different-Produce870

Could be a weird Saka fashion statement

  15. LopanLives

“I’m an introvert but love fashion.”

  16. MirroredGarageWalls

If you had a massive head trauma where your skin was melted off of 85% of your body, you might be okay with it.

  17. Unlimitles

That’s the reality of it, Some people make no sense.

  18. mightylordredbeard

Stretched ears and tattoos make no sense to me, but I’ve got both. People do all kinds of stupid and weird shit with their body cause they like it.

  19. Cringlezz

Yeah i dont get it either. Those sandals dont match at all with that suit and seem like a downgrade to me.

  20. Similar_Bench3572

You mean to tell me you never wanted to look like a crash test dummy?

There are certain people who undergo full body conversion for corporations. Whether this is to go work in space or for military reasons, they do eventually get to retire.

All that’s left of them is a “bio bag” which are the essential organs to keep the brain functioning. So, they have no body to go back to. There is a Gemini model which is very hard to detect as being a borg body, but it’s the users choice. Perhaps after years of seeing yourself as a beefed up borg you might want to continue seeing that version of yourself.

Another note on cyber psychosis and full borg: if you do it all at once, there’s a better chance that you won’t lose your humanity to that degree. Something with it being such a drastic change that pulling you back is easier since it’s not a slowly creeping in thing. I think there’s also a 10% chance of it making the conversion as well, dying in the process.

that’s not an upgrade, that’s a RC drone.

there’s a side mission in PL that does into detail about them, basically they allow people to remote in to places and walk around

  23. DArtagnanLumino

I have eczema. I would get this upgrade.

  24. RobbbRocker91
