It will get REALLY warm in there unless you have some kind of ventilation.
You can get some double hangers or hanging rods that give you two levels of hanging space from the one clothes rod. That will give you back most of the space you had for hanging and let the desk stay.

I too was a closet PC Gamer. First time was at my Parents house, I had built a handmade Desk that fit exactly in the space provided by the closet. I liked it so much that when I was looking for apartments I always checked if it had a “good closet”. At my most recent place I was able to actually go inside and shut the door. I don’t regret it. It was so peaceful in the closet.
Now I play out in the open and noticed that people often scrutinize my equipment saying it’s too big and takes up too much space or there is just generally too much of it. Even now I feel myself once again yearning for the closet….the privacy or playing behind closed doors. Shoving as much of my equipment as possible into a tiny space. Filling it up and getting inside……

I’m sure moving the chair every now and then for hanging clothes isn’t that bad,I’m sure those are just dress shirts and stuff that isn’t occasionally worn and that you have a dresser where you do your everyday clothes.I don’t think it will ever get too warm as you can just swing the door open for a minute or two and let that funk out.anyways it looks cool and if it works for you that’s a what matters is make it more pc room esk and give this sub a revisit to prove the neckbeards wrong

DONT!!! I did this when I was 16 and had it for like this for two years , I had emptied my entire closet and wrecked all the shelving inside and built a perfect desk that fits invetween the walls.
I still get slammed in this anytime I come home to my parents or to visit, it’s been the dubbed “the cave of virginity” and nearly everyone knows about it

I love it op. I’m actually obsessed with a personal setup in a closet. I don’t have it yet but when I buy a new house 100% I’m gonna shove my personal setup in a closet. I think it’s cozy. I’m running ikea battle station 98″ top, flexispot e7 pro frame, triple 32″s left to right, 4090 and 13900k in a hyte y70. Gonna shove it all in a closet. Lol.
