I came across this game which I waited till lately to play after loosing interest in games in general, The story line is so absorbing it has given me something to focus on to ignore my cravings, and a strange hope to get back into the world after, age 30 I was pronounced disabled with heart problems and PTSD from a series of career and life choices which made me associate with the more morbid aspects of the game and its themes of acceptance and overcoming, and making new friends after loosing others, the game somehow reminded me theres a big world out there and my story isnt over yet, Id like to thank CDPR for this, and the you tuber who made this video [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCIUYcK0qSc](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCIUYcK0qSc)

Just out of curiosity, what kind of addiction and how did that give you heart issues or were your issues natural? Just curious as I lost my mum a few months ago(I was 21) and have been more paranoid about health and stuff

Video games really have that power! For me Alan Wake two really connected with depression, grief and mental health for me. Also Death stranding had me walking miles everyday.

It’s truly amazing what video games can do for us and I’m happy for you!!

Stories heal me. So much so I’m writing my own.

I talk to my friends and family about my problems. I have an incredible support system. But sometimes, seeing people struggle to overcome their flaws gives me a little more push in the right direction.

Idk if you do this either but as someone who doesn’t drink anymore, I always make my V not drink either or drink an alternate substance. I think it’s cool that in game sometimes people respond by loving it and sometimes they question it. A toast with lemonade? If you say so V.

I do enjoy smoking still so I will accept any offering of those in game though lol.

Im also glad this was able to help you!

Knalls love how this game shows that even if life not only kicks you in the balls but also kicks you many times after you are laying on the ground, there’s always a way up again, and to gather new friends to help you, is most often an important step to grow.
