my huge backlog that im working through is kotor 2 ( last two planets) , sonic superstars , star ocean R , sea of stars (3rd of the way) , tales of berseria ( 3rd of the way) , asterigos , forgotten city , octopath 2 , elden ring (almost half way) , ghostbusters the video game and Divinity: Original Sin 1 + 2 . i hope i get through them in 2024
That World Of Horror game looks really interesting, certainly one i will check out. Another game you should look into Johnny, is the upcoming Beyond Shadowgate game made by the original team behind the OG Shadowgate. This sequel is also made completely in MS paint, it's incredible what they have achieved so far. The version of Beyond Shadowgate is not to be confused with old TurboGrafx-CD game (which the original team didn't make). The version they are making now, is based on the original concept art and idea that Dave Marsh has kept since the early 90's. It will be a direct sequel to Shadowgate with the same UI and they have kept the NES 8-bit style graphics and sound. It will be released soon on the PC and then later Switch.
I missed out on playing Baldur's Gate III and Tears of the Kingdom, but plan to play them this year.
MAN, I missed out on so many titles. I got a PS5 this year from the console backlog and 2023 Its a little overwhelming in a great way!
Recently finished Spider-Man 2 and now I wanna hop into armored core
I wish we'd get another Days Gone, that was one of the best ps4 games, waaay better than Last of Us.
I'm sad that you've still missed Chained Echoes — indie masterpiece!
Shocked you haven’t gotten into BG3 yet with all the D&D books you have shared in the past on the game stuff episodes. It’s a must play, and of course it well deserved win game of the year.
right now I am playing Legend of Nayuta Boundless Trails, pretty good, reminds me of Ys mixed with level based platformers like Kirby or Yoshi with collectibles and challenges within them and also has a way to switch weather having each level have different versions. Good game.
You should check out Paranormasight….excellent visual novel detective game
Man… every time they do this my bank account suffers… All fun though 😅
Not a 2023 game for im finally play ff7 on ps5 ready for the new one next month
Starfield is trash😅
You guys should play BG3 together for sure! It’s a fantastic game and it would be fun to here you guys tell your story’s of playing threw it as a video!
Still Trying to finish FXVI before FF7 rebirth comes out. I can fit in about 3-4 hours of playing each week.
didn't even play RE4 VR2 mode…
Why did Kim bring up the turn based combat like she hasn't almost beat every dragon quest 😂
I know you have tons on your plate but Chained Echoes is something you'd love Johnny! Fantastic story, turn based combat and lots of little things to do as well. Soooo good.
I saw Little Goody Two Shoes through Tik Tok and I want to play it so bad!
STILL chugging through FF16 for the platinum + going to go through the DLC! Didn't give myself as much gamer time as I wish I did last year, but I plan on letting myself have a bit more fun and chug through the rest of my backlog!
I missed FF16 because I don't have a PS5 yet. Other than that… Mario Wonder and Mario RPG I guess? But I'm not must have them. Maybe I'll get them next month, who knows.
i don't know if ya'll already played it but Rhapsody series 1,2 and 3 is really a charming jrpg
I think you might have missed Raincode which was in my Top 5 last year.
I really enjoyed Starfield as well! Spent 200 hours in that world. Excited for you to do the faction quest.
"Frame rate whore", ive been saying this forever! 😂
Labyrinth of Galleria
Catching up on Ghost Runner 2
Ive been enamoured with Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader the past couple weeks – Owlcat Games puts so much love into their CRPGs and this setting is just so delicious, dark, and disturbing!
I picked up Star Ocean The Second Story R, Star Ocean: The Divine Force, and I'm behind on my Trails games. Phantom Liberty and then finally working on Fire Emblem: Engage
Evil west, Lords of the fallen and Soulstice are great and underrated.
Another great video with both of you Kim and Johnny. I’m currently getting through Hogwarts Legacy and Sea of Stars. A game I missed that I want to pick up is Robocop Rogue City. It would be awesome to hear what you think about the game too. Thank you for the long days gone reco too. I put it in my wishlist on Steam. I might pick up Harvestella later this year too. Too many games to play and Hogwarts has got me doing everything in it, so good. Anyways take care and keep it up.
On a metroidvania kick now. Beat Will of the Wisps. Playing Blind Forest now. Monster Boy and Hollow Knight are next
More Indy games please.
I'm finally playing cyberpunk, only 3 years since it was released, impressive, so far.
More shooting than I expected.
Play baldurs gate 3!
uh god me too I got too many games and I still managed to miss some great ones.. just checked little goody 2 shoes: it's coming as physical in the west both in US and EU. Goes straight to my shopping list it looks phenomenal… reminds me of Yomawari on Vita, just more queer love it! 😉 World of horror I already have and it's an instant classic!
I have a feeling if Kim gave BG3 a try she would prob love it… really cant wait to hear your thoughts on it Johnny. Happy New Year!
I'd recommend "Baldurs Gate 3", "In Stars and Time", "Bomb Rush Cyberfunk", "Chants of Sennar", "HI-FI Rush", "Cocoon", "Lunacid", "Ugly", "Affogato" and "A Space For The Unbound" for games you two should totally play from 2023! Some well known, some not, but all very good and highly rated! Thanks for another great episode~
I missed about half the games of 2023, mainly because I still have yet to get a PS5 and an Xbox Series so I missed out on those. I really enjoyed the big Switch game last year. Hope to rectify that this year…
Just finished Eastward, now I'm on to Disco Elysium
John, do you need a copy of World of Horror? I bought one extra as a Christmas gift for someone on Switch, but they already ended up having it on steam.
I’ve been kicking it old school SNES . Playing Chrono Trigger and the twisted tales of spike mcfang.
As a huge fallout/elder scrolls/sci-fi fan I was extremely disappointed in starfield
