Ya know, I was ok with this ending. The way Johnny and V hash it out in their conversation, it seemed to make sense.
Then the credits rolled and the messages started playing and fucking ENDED me.

This ending is rough to watch. However, I like to set up nearly choosing this ending and wait several minutes for the prompt for the Don’t Fear the Reaper mission. Story wise it makes sense to choose to do a solo run, or a suicide run as Johnny calls it, when you’re about to end your own life and have no reservations and nothing left to lose at that point.

My very first playthrough back when it came out I did this ending. I thought…theres no way itll actually stick, right? Like the Relic will do something or someone will stop it or hell, just anything after you pick it. Nope. I sat there for a second just going “Huh”.

Gotta be one of my fav endings tbh (I accidentally picked this one on my first play through). Johnny and V think that they are doing the right thing by not doing anything and kill themselves but then it shows how much people they actually hurt by committing suicide. It cuts very deep as through out the game you have been building these relationships with these people and now its over.
