You can spend your time worrying about something else.

He should go give Bum Simulator a try. Seems more his speed

I mean we’re getting close to a cyberpunk dystopia, just minus the cool robotics.

Real life………in the year 2077. Wow. Just wow.

  5. SpaceGator3000

I think this speaks to the level of hype this game had.

Did you really just screencap your own comment to harvest more karma

What’s a “real life simulator” anyway? The Sims? This guy wanted The Sims 2077?

“I dont care about what CDPR advertised” says a lot too. Just saying

Moderate hype delusion > Defending billion dollar companies choice to falsely advertise to millions of people for 8 years straight

This reminds me of the time a guy brought his crazy, Goth mommy output to a Vampire: The Masquerade session. While looking through all the blood disciplines during character creation, she chuckeld and said, “I can do most of these things in real life.”

Everyone looked at her, and without missing a beat, my other friend said, “Well, can you please refrain from shapeshifting in my apartment? I don’t want to lose my deposit, and they don’t allow pets.”

Severely deformed brain cells this one has.

  12. A real life simulator would be the most boring shit ever, not even defending CP2077 I have my fair bit of issues with it, I’m just glad it’s not a life Sim.

Real life games would be ass…getting one random bullet in the arm:

    >not able to use the arm properly

    >if you survive the gunfight got to a hospital

    >recover for month and hope you arm is fully functional again

    yep sounds like fun

I love when games add mundane stuff like eating, drinking, showering, sleeping in beds ect. but that stuff is supposed to compliment the gameplay cycle, not become it. I’d be bored as hell doing nothing but simple everyday tasks for hours.

It’s a decent rpg but an incredible game

The hype did spiral pretty hard and CDPR did have some role in that. But with all that said, everyone rational told people to chill on the expectations that were starting to run wild.

  17. Matt-J-McCormack

It was a huge disappointment, did not live up to its promise. But later on was able to become decent after a lot more time, money and a paid for upgrade. How is that not a real life simulator m?

  18. WendyThorne

I’m guessing they’re referring to the marketing which at times did make it seem borderline sim-ish with NPCs having schedules they’d follow and stuff. I never thought that was the focus of the game though…

  19. Tenagaaaa

Man just go outside if you want real life lmfao

TBH I feel that, while expressed badly, the opinion is not complete bullshit. Right now Cyberpunk 2077 is a really good game. If CD Project didn’t get cursed by shitty top management (which we sadly know is pretty common when a developer gets in the AAA level) they could have managed to produce a true masterpiece (see TW3 before the last updates and bullshit with the launcher).
I believe that the sentiment behind the opinion is more about this, than the hype and advertising.
