Little unfair to compare a great console with a long service life to a older computer trying to run that latest browser, insert a real 486 90’s PC in place of the SNES and the 4GB PC looks a lot more attractive.

I remember using computers in the 90’s.
They weren’t as good as you remember… Just because 7head programmers had to make every use of every byte to scrimp and save on performance didn’t mean the programs were performant.

60fps eh? Even with an entire CPU in the cart, DOOM, Star Fox, Stuntrace FX, several ports of games like Flashback, Out of this World/Another World, etc did not run at 60fps and it’s nothing to do with ram.

The spec requirement for this generation of gaming and computer use is indeed much more demanding, but games look way better now and computers are a lot faster than the old days.
