Not sure how guns work exactly (illegal in my country) but is it true I can see the bullet right down the barrel here?

Only if you had a light shining perfectly down the barrel.

Another nice detail I noticed is how the wear marks are exactly on the part of the cyber arm wher you’d expect he’d rest it.

Yes and No. Technically ‘Yes’, if the round is chambered, which it probably would be in a Cyberpunk setting… but also ‘No’ because there’s not usually enough light to properly illuminate it because it’s basically down at the bottom of a hole. So unless you were shining a light directly down the barrel you wouldn’t see it. You’d just see darkness.

damn guns banned completely? that aint freedom mate 🙁
on the other hand, if you shine a light into a gun thats chambered you will see the bullet

Every answer you get here is probably guesswork, because most people who ever had a chance to have a loaded gun pointed straight at their face isn’t

    – alive to tell it
    – willing to tell it

  6. Interestingly, in moments of high stress, some people report being able to see the bullet once fired as it travels like in slow motion. We discussed that in Police Academy at some point. It is hard to verify that one though.

I can confirm that you can see bullets in flight if there are enough of them. The Mogadishu Mile looked like bees were swarming. Insanity.

In some situations you can see down a pistol barrel and into the chamber. It depends on lighting, caliber, and barrel length to a lesser extent.

However in this case the chamber appears to be empty, and the gun de-cocked, as what looks like a firing pin protruding from the breech face is clearly visible.

Best gun for that would be a short barreled revolver: You’d definitely be able to see both the bullet and the rifling of the barrel

With longer guns, it’s harder as the barrel is reflective (imagine looking inside a shiny metal tube) and you’d have to be straight behind a light source (or shine a headlamp or something) directly into the barrel to see the tip of the bullet

Lighting aside, yeah: the only thing keeping the projectile there is the press-fit inside the brass hull that it sits in (and the whole bullet assembly is held in the chamber by the breech face (part of the moving slide) and the barrel itself (which can either be fixed like with the Walther PPK and revolvers or tilting like in Glocks and many other guns)

Is that your V? He looks amazing.

Man, should do black guy next time I play.

Even if guns were legal in your country ones should never ever ever look into a loaded gun. Locked or not doesn’t matter. Never do it.

If the lighting is right, then yes it would be possible to look down the barrel and see the cartridge sitting in the weapon’s chamber. It would be a fucking terrible idea because it means you’d have a loaded gun pointed at your head, but it would technically be possible.

  12. I dont know how the legality of something prevents you from being knowledgeable on that something.

Basically you put mag into gun

Pull slide back and thebolt catches the first round off the top of the mag and pushes it into the chamber. Now your locked and loaded (chamber is part of the barrel)

This is all to say that yes, with the proper lighting and a short enough barrel if a guy is pointing a gun at you you can see the bullet.

No not in the real world unless you shine a torch in it. You could argue than V’s Kiroshi Oprics improves his ability to see dark areas so perhaps that’s why it’s visible 🤷🏾‍♂️

I have shot guns and owned guns and I have never had the urge to check.

  15. electricwinddickjab

Dont know never tried looking down the barrel of a loaded gun

  16. femboi_pink

If the barrel is short enough yes, also not the safetest way to see if its loaded. Lol

Took a picture with my Phone
Won’t let me post But didn’t see the bullet

    10mm glock

Ain’t about to look with my own eyes

So as someone who has looked down the barrel of a gun (don’t worry the rest of the gun wasn’t attached) it’s hard to see much. With a light at the other end you can see the rifling. However gun barrels tend to be small and usually have stuff at the other end.

Upon zooming in I see what I think is somewhat realistic. The bullet isn’t super clear. It almost looks like you’re seeing the reflection of it on the barrel itself. Since it’s daylight and you have a robotic eye I expect this isn’t beyond the realm of belief.

You’re lucky they’re illegal in your country. Here in the US, they’re unfortunately not illegal. And it blows 😒

  20. PhantomCruze

If there’s enough light, and you’re at the right angle, yes

  21. Yeet123456789djfbhd

If you shine a flashlight into the barrel, and there is a bullet chambered, yes

  22. WhyAreYouGe

Daily reminder, don’t look down the barrel of a loaded gun.

  23. PuzzleheadedMajor407

The barrel is a straight line to the chamber and while the angle is a bit off yes

  24. Artius71158

I wanted to kill that dude even though he was just doing his job. My mentality in the game is if you pull a weapon on me, you better get me before I get you.

  25. JohnB351234

Yes and no, unless there’s the right lighting you won’t be able to see down the barrel into the chamber as it’s in the shadow

  26. lastgunslinger3759

Honestly it depends on the firearm if it’s a longer barrel no but if we’re talking a short barrel pistol or a short barrel rifle maybe

  27. Leskendle45

“Hey! I can almost see right down the bar-“
