Looking for a secondary monitor. My main is a 240hz gaming monitor and I want something that I can have as a secondary monitor that I can use for light video editing, the occasional “pretty game” use for when I’m not playing esports titles, and to just have a lot of good usable screen real estate for excel and other work related things.
60hz is all I’ll need, input lag doesn’t really matter much, just the best picture I can get, 4k and good colors in a large screen under the $500 budget
Picture of cat and PC for fun, and don’t worry there is also an exhaust fan on the bottom to help with keeping it cool when he or the other cats lay there.

i set the price cap a little higher. the results are based on amazon numbers so you could check other sources for better value.
Good night
Love the cat, why pay for a bed when you can pay 10x for a warm brick
I’ve had my eye on the SAMSUNG 34” ViewFinity S65UA Series for a while, it seems to check all the boxes for me. And it’s currently at the lowest price it’s been for a while.
Personally at anything under 32”, I’d go for a really good 1440p panel with a very high refresh.
4K isnt worth the premium tax. Now OLED tho. That’s worth.
Just get a cheap 43 inch 4k tv
just don’t watch a youtube video on it, whatever you buy will be on a video saying it’s a piece of crap and you should have spent more money for a better one. now that i think about it that’s every response to any pc build in the comments ” y dont
you just buy a more expensive one”
gamers dont buy over 27″
Kitty on the computer
look around at places like micro center for clearance sales. i was able to get a 200hz ultra wide about a year ago for less than 200$. don’t think i could ever go back to editing on a single 16:9 after using this
Nice dog
You got enough room for a 34” ultrawide? There’s decent 60hz dells with accurate color that are great for video editing.
Anecdotally, I edit for a living and I can’t imagine going back to a 16:9 aspect ratio. The extra screen real estate for the timeline is just fantastic
Dell has their VA-panel SE3223Q for US $300 currently. If you want higher quality color VA may not be your jam. IPS at that size under $500 isn’t impossible but it would take some digging, and with monitors I tend to stay closer to name brands I know rather than Korean Monitor off Aliexpress etc..
I’d really consider the lg c2 42. It’s an amazing as a monitor and it’s oled 120hz. You can probably get one for close to 500. Ive experimented with a bunch of high end monitors over the years from 27 – 38 ultra wides and it’s my fav by far. I think it’s the perfect gaming monitor size
Yay kittyy!!!
good car

Omg stop I have his twin though
Just got an AOC 165 hz 32in curved for under 300$
Cat wants your company and likes being warm. OP spends a lot of time on computer.
I can’t get angry at cat. This situation was formed out of design, not of cat’s error.
Just got a Samsung M8 as a WFH monitor / TV. 32″ 4k, 60hz, built in apps for TV stuff.
Super stylish and very minimal footprint.
Bought mine for discounted £340, so within your $500 budget if you can find it.
It’s a bit bigger than you are looking for but i’ve REALLY liked my [Aorus FV43U](https://www.gigabyte.com/Monitor/AORUS-FV43U#kf)
Find a used Acer predator X27. 5 years old, but still holds its own.
