Hi there all. Just delidded my 9900KF and applied liquid metal with der8auer’s OC frame over the Christmas break due to my stock temperatures being in the 90’s even 100’s on multiple cores in Aida64’s stress test and also in Battlefield 2042. Voltage set at 1.290 volts and all core at 4.7ghz. Can’t get anywhere near 5ghz like I’d want to.
I’ve got a Alphacool Hurrican 360mm open loop kit that I’ve added my RTX 2080ti into and also a second EK 360mm radiator. So I’ve got plenty of heat dissipation area. My GPU only gets to around 50-55 degrees in 2042 with +110mhz on the core and 700mhz on the memory. It sits around 2100mhz and never goes above 55 degrees. Pump is flat out 4500rpm all the time and fan speeds are set to go up to 1200-1300rpm when the CPU reaches 60 degrees.
So, what I’m asking is. What am I doing wrong with my 9900K? It’s just so warm. I’m kind of at a loss with it now. I’ve tried just setting everything in the bios back to auto but then I get annoying voltage spikes and it gets just as hot. I’ve tried auto core and limiting the voltage on normal with a -0.100v hold back netting 1.3 volts under load but allows it to drop when not under load.
I honestly don’t know what to do. Maybe I didn’t put enough liquid metal on? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I’ve attached a image of my rig so people can see the setup. Thanks.

I think its probably a hot 9900. Your voltages aren’t outrageous by anymeans. 50-60 under load is great though. What do your idle Temps look like? Another thing I would check though, when I did the derbaur kit I realized after installation that my chosen waterblock didn’t clear certain things on my motherboard after dropping it a few mm closer to the board. You might want to check that your cpu block is making good contact with the cpu
